Best superfoods to protect your reproductive health

Best superfoods to protect your reproductive health

Reproductive health is the most neglected health. It is important to protect reproductive health for both men and women. Neglected reproductive health can increase problems in later stages of life. Below are some foods and nutrients listed to take care of and protect reproductive health.

Antioxidants

Choose colorful foods such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and beautiful pomegranates, red and yellow bell peppers, and dark chocolate (over 70%)

Healthy fats

Good fats like omega-3-rich foods like walnuts, almonds, avocado, and fatty fish contain good fats; include all of these in your diet.

Folate

Folate, i.e vitamin B9, is important for DNA synthesis, so it is necessary to include foods like dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, methi, and kale.

Choline and Vitamin D

Choline and vitamin D can be obtained from eggs, and the egg yolks contain lipids that support steroid production, as well as it contains vitamin D.

Micronutrients (zinc, magnesium, selenium, vitamin E)

Magnesium can be obtained from nuts and seeds like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, whole grains, and cruciferous vegetables like broccoli.

Low GI foods

Low GI foods release sugar slowly and steadily. Include foods such as legumes and pulses such as chickpeas, kidney beans, and soybeans. Include grains like bajra, jowar, ragi, and whole wheat flour, and protein like paneer, curd, fish, and chicken.

Include all these foods to keep your reproductive health in good condition.
