Since roti is the staple food for many, so here’s Barley roti to add some variety to your daily staple food. Nutritional Benefits: Barley’s high fiber content and the type of insoluble fiber helps boosting digestive health to a great extent. Whole wheat reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes due to the presence of fiber and magnesium in good amounts.

  • •10 grams barley flour
  • •10 grams wheat bran flour
  • •15 grams whole wheat flour
  • •Water as required

Method

    Combine barley flour, wheat bran, and whole wheat flour.

    Add water as required and knead it into a soft dough.

    Cover and keep this aside for ten to fifteen minutes.

    Roll the dough into a round roti using a little wheat flour.

    Heat a tawa over moderate flame and place roti over it.

    When small bubbles start forming turn it over, and cook it from the other side.

    Press the edges with a spatula so that edges are also cooked well.

    Cook it evenly from both sides and serve immediately.

    Please Note: You can also stuff your rotis with onion, tomato, spinach or methi leaves.
